MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (October 18, 2017) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation is adding new products to its Snapper XD 82-Volt Max1 Lithium-ion battery-powered lawn & garden tool system. The complete lineup of tools will be on display at the Snapper booth during GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky, Oct. 18th to the 20th. Powered by a Briggs & Stratton® Battery, the Snapper XD multi-tool system includes the tools homeowners need to efficiently complete yard work, and will now include a self-propelled utility cart, pole saw, self-propelled mower, cultivator, snow shovel and four new attachments for the current string trimmer.
“With the continued expansion of the Snapper XD product offering, we’re equipping the motivated homeowner with all the tools they need to quickly and easily tackle yard work,” says Steve Ryczek, Product Manager Battery Powered Products. “The 82V Max1 Lithium-ion batteries used to power this system have a reduced heat output versus other lower voltage batteries, which increases the longevity of the battery life. This means homeowners can conquer the task at hand knowing they have a reliable power source.”
Like all Snapper XD 82V Max1 lawn and garden tools, the new offerings include a brushless motor for high efficiency and long life. The new offerings on display at GIE+EXPO include:
Self-Propelled Utility Cart (available December 2017)
Snow Shovel (available December 2017)
Pole Saw (available December 2017)
Cultivator (available December 2017)
String Trimmer Attachments (available October 2017)
19-Inch Walk-Behind Mower (available December 2017)
21-Inch Self-Propelled Mower (available December 2017)
Most Snapper XD tools have a five-year limited consumer warranty2, while the String Trimmer Attachments have a three-year limited warranty2. All Briggs & Stratton 82V Max1 Batteries and the Rapid Charging Station have a two-year limited consumer warranty2. The 82V Max1 Lithium-ion 2Ah battery works in all products, and the 4Ah and 5Ah battery works in most Snapper XD tools, with the exception of the chainsaw3, which should only be used with the 2Ah battery.
